On this page, from time to time I plan to display things that I've discovered in my meanderings around the Caribbean and elsewhere. I'll try to bring interesting and innovative items that have proved to be useful to me, and which I believe might be of interest to other travelers who visit my web site. While some things may be available for purchase from Yours Truly, I'll also be endeavoring to locate and list things and ideas which may be helpful to folks visiting a tropical vacation destination. And, then you try to secure one end to the backrest in such a way that the towel won't slide down. If you're like Yours Truly, you try tucking the end of the towel into the lacing on the lounge. Right? Well, the only thing is, just as soon as you sit down on the lounge, the towel pulls out and, there you are -- with the towel bunched behind your butt and not behind your back where it should be!
While on the island of Bonaire, Nina happened to see a funny li'l plastic contraption in a gift shop. It had "Towel Grip" molded right into the plastic. Some newer lounges (such as the molded white plastic lounges at some of
the SuperClubs' properties) do not have the conventional aluminum top cross
bar. However, on these lounges, it was found that the The
Towel Grip® can be placed just under
the top crossbar, where the lacing is, and it will work. If you experience
a problem and find that The Towel Grip®
doesn't work on the lounges where you vacation, we will happily refund
your money (less the shipping and handling fee).
